It's Spring !  Jimmy's new album is out and his "Under the Big Top" tour starts in April.  Why don't you plan a  "Margaritaville" party! We'd love to help out! Friday, March 12th - The Chicago Blu Bar & Grille, Frankfort.  A five-piece version of The Disorderlies are playing at the second annual Beach Party for this nifty watering hole in southwest suburban Frankfort.  There is a prize for best costume, a limbo contest and terrific drink specials.  We take the stage at 8:45PM  Click here for more info.

Friday, April 23rd - Old Chicago Pizza & Pasta, Elk Grove Village. 6PM - 10PM Jay and Bobby Swigart (of Pirates Over 40) are returning as the Disordely Duo to this great "happy hour" in the northwest burbs. This is a fun place with an excellent menu and selection of beers. Plus, their taste in music is impeccable! Watch for more details.

Saturday, May 29th - Schaumburg Flyers - The Schaumburg Club.  The Disorderly Trio is on-stage for the post game party following a game against Gary in the Schaumburg Club - on the third floor down the first base line.  Click here for the website.

Thursday, August 5th - Uniquely Thursdays - Hinsdale 6:30PM.  The Disorderlies return to this outstanding concert series in Burlington Park in Hinsdale.  It's a great park with available food and drink or bring your own.  Watch for more details.

Past Dates

Wednesday, February 17th - Schaumburg Flyers Stadium, Schaumburg. A Disorderly trio of Rich Rumsey (filling in for Jay), Bobby Swigart and Scott "Bongoman" Ableson entertained the Flyers fans, friends, vendors, etc. for their annual "spring" kickoff.

Saturday, January 9th - The Thirsty Whale, Algonquin. 9:30PM Vac and Jay led The Disorderlies into the belly of the whale - The Thirsty Whale - that is. Was a great time to shake off a little cabin fever and get into a few Boat Drinks! Frank, the owner, wants us back!

Wednesday, December 30th - Keywester - Naperville. Jay and Bruce Waters (Pirates Over 40) carried the torch into some new waters on a Wednesday. Nasty, snowy weather but a good turnout and a lot of fun.  Remember, it was New Years Eve Eve! 

Friday, November 13th - Old Chicago Pizza & Pasta, (Holiday Inn), Elk Grove Village. Jay and Bobby Swigert (Pirates Over 40) teamed up to put on a show. Had a good time.  Very happy managers who want us back in Jan/Feb.  

Saturday, October 24th - Hemingway's Port of Call & South of Disorder Bar, Lake Geneva. South of Disorder, the big band, was up at Steve's place for a big fundraiser for the WC Foodbank!  Vac's  side project he calls Work In Progress opened up and really rocked the place with some great "very danceable" classic rock music.  South of Disorder, aided by a couple guest stars, performed a powerful set of Jimmy music (plus a couple we know he would approve) and then turned the stage over to really hot country band, Saddlebrook.  This is a band to watch, they really go and had the place jumpin'. 

Saturday, October 17th - Wild Bull Bar & Grill, 1817 W Golf Rd., Schaumburg, IL (847) 285-3333 The Disorderly Trio cut into some new territory at the Wild Bull! A great sports bar with a strong menu and great specials. They loved us!  We'll be back there.

Friday, September 11th - Key Lime Cove Water Park, Gurnee, IL  The Disorderly Trio slid down the big slide into the Crazy Toucan Margarita Grille for a show starting at 8.  A small but sincere crowd enjoyed the show and the management loved us.  Hope to be back in November/December.  Watch for dates.

Monday, September 7th - Septemberfest 2009, Schaumburg, IL  What a blast.  The Disorderlies performed the Dining Tent at this fabulous Labor Day Weekend fest. The band had a great time.  A big crowd in the tent and lots of people singing along, dancing and having a ball.  One slight mishap...Jay's guitar didn't arrive until the sixth song...whoops!  Oh well, we didn't know he could dance and play the tambourine so well.  Hope to be back next year on the main stage.

Friday, August 28th - Hemingway's Port of Call & South of Disorder Bar, Lake Geneva. WOW!  What a big party prior to Jimmy's show on Saturday. The whole band - SOUTH of DISORDER - and a lot more celebrating Mr. Buffett's annual trek to Alpine Valley. Mr. Myers was there, Johnny Russler and the Beach Bum Band soldiered on without Johnny who had to attend to an ailing relative and rising reggae star Nixon Omolo and the Survivors also joined in.  About 400 Parrotheads partied hard and had a great time.  

Saturday, August 22nd - Blue Chip Casino, Michigan City, IN The Disorderlies cruised into the Blue Chip Casino and played in the Rocks Lounge from 4PM - 8PM.  It was way cool.  "People passing by stared in wild wonder" and stopped to listen, a newly wed couple stayed for two sets!  We were happy to be lounge lizards. "We were off to see the lizard."

Friday, August 21st - Pottowattamie Country Club, Michigan City, IN - The Disorderlies played for  a Private Party at Bongo Bob's historic club near the beach.  The weather kept us inside - how unusual for this summer.  They and we had a great time.  They want us back next year!

Saturday, August 15th - Bobby McGee's, Chicago Ridge. The Disorderly Trio was a little bit south of Jimmy's show at Toyota Park. We were bummed.  Jimmy didn't show! Oh well, maybe up at Steve's place, Hemingways, on the 28th.

Friday, August 14th - Shark City Beer Garden, Glendale Heights, IL The Disorderly Trio was out in the new Oasis Bar & Patio from 5:30 - 9:30PM. The weather was great. Nice Crowd, nice place.

Sunday, August 9th - Kane County Cougars, Geneva, IL  It was a blast!  The Disorderlies were rolled out on a mobile stage immediately after the game to play an hour of Bubba's hits for the fans who came out for Jimmy Buffett Tribute Day. Jimmy was in town. We thought maybe he'd drop in to throw out the first pitch and get up with us! We know, dream on!

Saturday, August 1st - Wow!  What a great date.  A couple of Parrothead's and about 150 of their family and friends enjoyed the musical stylings of The Disorderlies for their reception. This is a marriage made in Margaritaville Heaven! Great day, great food & drink, people dancing all night.  Imagine, The Disorderlies....a wedding band!

Friday, July 31st - Gino's East, Lake Zurich. The Disorderlies returned to this excellent restaurant and music club. Lot's of Parrothead's come out to this phun place.  The weather might have kept some of the phlock out on the water but a good time was had by all.

Saturday, July 25th - Private Party at Chenequa Country Club. Those lucky "islanders" had a great party with The Disorderlies.  It was a beautiful night on the shores of Beaver Lake. 

Friday, July 24th - Hemingway's Port of Call & The South of Disorder Bar, Lake Geneva. What a night at Steve's place. The big 2nd Anniversary of this terrific restaurant, bar, roadhouse, you-name-it. The full South of Disorder band was there and joined by Jory Simmons of The David Marshall Band and Bruce Waters of Pirates Over 40.  Nixon Omollo and the Survivors opened up (with Tim Williams and Dane as the rhythm section.)  It was a great night.  We played one three hour set!  Steve was on fire and a great crowd danced all night long.

Sunday, July 19th - Vernon Hills Summer Celebration, Century Park, 1001 Lakeview Parkway, Vernon Hills. The full South of Disorder Band took the stage for a big festival up in Vernon Hills. We headlined on Sunday. We started at 7PM  Caribe Steve showed up and added to the festivities by bringing the mayor and his crew up for Margaritaville!  What a great night!

Saturday, July 18th - Gaynor's, Addison. The Disorderly Trio sailed into some "unchartered waters". A really friendly little Irish pub.  We had good time and partied on 'til 1AM!

Thursday, July 16th - St. Christopher's Fiesta, Midlothian. This was a terrific fest and a great night for the band.  They had a tent that held 1000 people.  It started to rain and people flocked into the tent.  They heard Jimmy's good time tunes and a lot of folks stayed with us for the whole show.  We will be back there next year for sure.  A great southwest side fest.

Sunday, July 12 - Mokena Park District Concert Series, Mokena. The Disorderlies headed south to entertain the fine residents of Mokena and surrounding environs. 7 - 9PM  It was great.  Great weather, great crowd.  It was their first Sunday night concert and more than 250 showed up!  Parrotheads are everywhere.

Saturday, July 11 - Private Party. A terrific west suburban swim club had a great Margarita party. Nice party, great weather.  Coupla' equipment issues but we always have spares.  Worked out great.

Thursday, July 9 - Itasca Fest, Itasca. A return engagement to a great fest. Last year The Disorderlies had to stop the show because a tornado decided to touch down about 2 miles away. Didn't happen this year.  This was fun.  Huge tent, great crowd, bunch of Parrotheads.  Couldn't have been better.

Friday, July 3rd - Ty Warner Park, Westmont Nice night. The Disorderlies rocked the place as part of the Westmont Fourth of July weekend. We got up at 7PM and played Jimmy's best known music (and a few we know he must like!) until 9PM.   The weather held and nice crowd showed up.  The Westmont brass were very pleased and put us on the "approved" list.

Saturday, June 27th - Private Party A terrific pair of Parrotheads threw their annual Margaritaville party and they had Jimmy's music there live! The Disorderlies rose to the occasion.  Ma nature didn't cooperate perfectly.  We got three sets in before the skies opened up.  A little scrambling but a great party and a great time!

Sunday, June 21st - Stonehouse Pub, Lemont, IL The Disorderly Trio took the stage at this newly remodeled bar and grill.  What a great way to spend a lazy Summer Solstice. This great pub is located at 103 Stevens Street, Lemont. 630 257-1300

Saturday, June 20th - Hemingway's Port of Call & South of Disorder Bar, Lake Geneva. The full band - SOUTH of DISORDER - took the stage for the official SUMMER KICKOFF at 9PM. We started out with The Disorderlies about 6PM. Then Dane brought in a great new reggae talent Nixon Omollo (from Kenya of all places) and then the whole band will got up at 9PM. Steve's joint had great food, drinks, games, prizes, bands...you name it! He had a special deal on Cheeseburgers In Paradise and margys.

Friday, June 19th - Porter's Oyster Bar, Crystal Lake. The Disorderlies were out in Jay's home town! Porter's is a terrific restaurant and well-known music venue in the northwest suburbs. Definitely was the place to be! Too bad we had to dodge tornados, hail and rain to get there!

Friday, June 12th - Claddagh Irish Pub, Geneva. The Disorderly Trio sailed into some new waters at this outstanding Irish pub. The night was a little different. Kas couldn't make it. The line-up was Jay joined by Bruce Waters of Pirates Over 40 and Mitch Martin (from The Bucketboys) on congas ! It was a good time. Some spontaneous new arrangements! Some new tunes.

Sunday, June 7th - Summer in the Center, Carol Stream. The full SOUTH of DISORDER Band took the stage at 4 PM. The weather was there, we wish you were beautiful!!  Great Festival, great lineup. We went first then American English the top Beatles Tribute followed by ARRA a great cover band.

Saturday, June 6th - Big Fish Grille, Wilmington, IL The Disorderlies sailed down the ol' Des Plaines River to Wilmington to play out on the bar's big tented yard overlooking the river. It was  be great. We went on around 7 and partied hard with more than 200 river dwellers 'til 11:30.  John, the owner, put up a big tent, boats were tying up at the dock, great food and drinks. Well worth the trip. Check at this terrific watering hole by the water.

Saturday, May 16th - Hemingway's Port of Call & South of Disorder Bar, Lake Geneva South of Disorder - the big band - was there in all it's glory. It's was a lot fun. The Disorderlies, our six-piece version got things going around 8:30 then Steve got up and took the wheel. A terrific pedal steel player - Jory Simmons of the David Marshall Band sat in - whoa, that's a lot of music.  Tim Williams and Scott Abelsons filled in for the percussion section.  Johnny Russler's pans player Tyler was there, Bruce Waters from Pirates Over 40 helped out on guitar.  Steve's latest find Brian sat in on keys for the missing (with a good excuse!) Vac.  It was a ball.

Saturday, May 9th - Village Cafe & Pub, 6873 N. Milwaukee Avenue, Niles.  Mother nature can be so cruel.  We were set up outside and the weather was in the 50's and the club had this great BBQ contest set up.  Well....the attendance wasn't all that great.  The small, but sincere crowd enjoyed the show.  Jay's daughter Emily filled in for an ailing Kas and James Costanzo, the nephew of the famous bongoman Jack Costanzo, joined in.  It provided good experience for the band!

Friday, April 24th - Village Cafe & Pub, 6873 N. Milwaukee Avenue, Niles. The Disorderly Trio of Jay, Kas and Bongo Bob sailed into a new venue. The Village Cafe & Pub is in the midst of Nightclub Row.  We had fun, good crowd, great pizza.

Friday, April 17th - The Disorderlies were out at a Private Fundraiser at the Meadows Club in Rolling Meadows.  Good times, a big stage, free drinks!  The Meadows Club is a nice place. 

Saturday, April 11th - Gridley's Grille and Pub, Long Grove, IL  The Disorderlies were out at this great restaurant and music venue.  After dinner everyone comes upstairs to the Katwalk Lounge.  We had a great turnout.  Lots of fans and friends who danced up a storm.  Vac joined us for the second set and Tim was in on percussion and had a bandmate from the Retrorockets sit-in on congas and bongos.  We had a lot of percussion!  The strangest moment occurred when a unknown trumpet player joined us on-stage.   Everbody thought somebody knew him. Turned he was a crasher!  Pretty good player tho!

Friiday, March 27th - Hemingway's Port of Call & South of Disorder Bar, Lake Geneva On February 23rd a good loyal Parrothead and Hemingway's regular had his house burn to the ground and Hemingway's turned the night into a fundraiser to help Kenny Bauman and his family through a very tough time. The Buffet (not Buffett!) started at 5:30PM. Had to be 200 people for the dinner and another couple hundred came later. Steve had the whole band plus guest stars up for the event.  Todd Donnelly of Mr. Myers got things going a 6PM and SOUTH OF DISORDER took the stage at 8:30 and carried on with a couple short breaks 'til almost midnight.  Bruce Waters joined us and David Marshall and his ace steel player Jury came up for couple tunes.  It was a blast.

Saturday, March 14th - Key Lime Cove, Gurnee, IL The Disorderlies sent out a scouting party in the form of the "Disorderlie Trio". Jay, Kas and Tim Williams.  Bobbo showed up too. We were in The Crazy Toucan Margaritaville Grille.  This place is a blast. Great big indoor waterpark and big hotel.  A lot of young parents and their children were there to get more familiar with Jimmy's music.   

Friday, January 16th - Gino's East in Lake Zurich. A great music room and north suburban location. Lots of Parrotheads showed up and had a great time.  Steve and Vac dropped by and graced the stage for a couple.  Cold outside and hot and cool inside!
