Greetings All…………
I’m one of the newest members of the group and somewhat new to Jimmy Buffett’s music, but certainly happy that Steve “Caribe” and the rest of the guys let me hop on their bandwagon.
Music started early for me because my Dad sang and played percussion in small Latin combos and we were exposed to a lot of it early on. In high school, I wanted to play the Sax ‘cause girls love Sax players, but the school band director had other ideas. He already had too many Sax players and promised that if I took up Trombone(You know…..the one with the slide.)for the upcoming school year, he’d make me a Sax player the next year. So much for empty promises. Anyway, the Trombone stuck and I’ve been playing it ever since. Since then, for the last twenty years or so I’ve been playing with and leading my own R&B and Latin groups as a Keyboard player and lead vocalist, playing a fair share of percussion and of course, my Trombone as well.
