South of Disorder

Jay
guitar,  vocals

Jay joined the band in February of '07 and now leads the six piece version.  Jay has been playing in bands since high school, starting out with the Fox Valley based Top 40 band The Downbeats.  While at the University of Illinois, he played in a jug band named Tilly Hutchison's Underground String House Jug Band.  His next stop was a stint with the country band Apple Pie.  After that, Colorado Springs called where he became a member of a 50s/60s show band called The Deltones.  In the mid-nineties he spent five years with Echoes of Time.  Most recently, Jay led the blues/rock group The Emma Lee Band, featuring his daughter and son.  The band performed classic blues and some of Jay's original songs.

Jay admits that over the years he wore the "grooves" off several of his Buffett records (cassettes, cds, mp3s?).  He counts Steve Goodman, John Prine and Bubba himself as major influences

Jay is a real estate developer/broker doing land development and working with the "Big Boxes" in Chicagoland.  He is the father of two and an addicted golfer when not strumming away.
