Chris
drums and other odd sounds; the band's probation officer

Chris was born and raised in New Jersey and his musical past goes way back to his pre-teen years in the early 60s when he was recruited to play in a garage band "Ventures," a knock-off group. Eventually, the band split up after all of those guys went into the service. During his high school years, Chris joined Brass Menagerie, a group that performed Herb Alpert's hits and other standards at private parties, weddings and banquets. Chris continued his musical career with a four piece rock group, Exact Change, that performed the hits of the late 60s. In the mid 70s, Chris was recruited into a four piece wedding band (can you picture black tuxes with purple frilly shirts?) called Aurora Borealis that played many, many wedding and banquet gigs all over New Jersey. Chris left the group in 1980 to take a promotion and transfer to Jacksonville, Florida.

After being recruited back to New Jersey in late 1981 by his employer, Chris met his wife, Terry, and they were married in 1983. They now have three teenage daughters who are very musically talented and who have performed in many high school musicals. Anyway, at his wedding reception, Chris sat in with his old band (of course you hire your former band mates!) for the 50's/60's set. In 1984, Chris was recruited into a contemporary ensemble (25 choir members and five musicians) that performed in church during mass. The ensemble was directed by Vicky Martell, the wife of Tony Martell, the famous producer at Sony Records. In 1990, Chris had to leave the ensemble due to a promotion and transfer to Chicago.

n 1994, Chris joined Arthur J.Gallagher & Co. in Itasca, IL and shortly thereafter, was recruited by three fabulous co-worker musicians who have been rocking out in a basement in Hoffman Estates ever since. Al "Vac", a long time friend of Dave, the band's bass player, sat in with "Band to the Basement" a few times, met Chris, and just recently asked him to join South of Disorder!
